Solomon Reznikov, 88 years old, from Zaporozhye, was one of the first people we helped to rescue. Solomon fought for the Ukraine in WW11 and has medals to prove it. He wanted to die in the land he defended against the Nazis. He was proud to have been part of some victorious battles.

When his health deteriorated, and he lost sight in one eye, he was unable to afford medical treatment. The country he once defended abandoned him in his hour of need. When the war broke out in 2014, Nazism and anti-Semitism once again reared their ugly heads. He decided to join his children in Israel. Call to Care helped make this possible.
