Ukraine had a summer full of hopes, but these hopes did not materialise for common people. The presidential and parliamentary elections are long gone. The nation was exhausted due to the unemployment, poverty, lack of social privileges and the never-ending conflict in Donbass. This is why the majority of those voters, voted against the former oligarchic president and his team. Yet, the voters were deluded once again. The power went into the hands of other oligarchs who are aimed at further stealing from the nation. They do not care about the troubles and interests of common people.
The new young president and his inexperienced team have an intention to sell immediately everything that still can be sold in Ukraine: banks, postal and railroad infrastructure and the most precious asset of the nation, Ukrainian land meant for agricultural needs. This temporary step will reduce Ukraine’s financial problems for a year or two, but the economics will then collapse completely. The population of Ukraine will turn into beggars.
Besides that, big armed groups of neo-Nazi are scattered all around Ukraine. The weapons from the war zone have reached every corner of Ukraine. The country is ready to explode at any moment. Poor Jewish people find no place for themselves in this situation. This is why the flow of Aliyah does not stop; it even grows. We have many support requests from olim. Families with children are especially numerous now because they are trying to make Aliyah before the school year starts. Thank you so much for your help.
One of the three families is expecting a baby very soon. They needed to leave as quickly as possible. The expecting mother, Yuliya, wanted to deliver her baby in Israel – being 30 weeks pregnant already. Your help has quickened her departure, and the Simonovich family will be in Nahariya, Israel, on August 18. Yuliya is an economist, and her husband Aleksandr is a service engineer. These professions are on demand in Israel but useless in Ukraine: there are simply no vacancies due to the unemployment. The husbands in the two remaining families have also lost their jobs and any hope to feed their families and provide a good future for their children. Israel is their last resort.
Thank you again on their behalf for the support you have provided!
