Precious friends, thank you for the support you sent to our olim, which enables them to fly to a safe place. It is such a delight to hear the happiness in their voices when they ask us to give their thanks to you on their behalf. And so we do thank you, on behalf of these people, who discover that they still can be happy in their homeland.
People Who Care, Ukraine.
The unprecedented military hysteria that is being upheld by politicians around Ukraine and spread around in practically any mass media is able to leave even the most stable people shaken, puzzled and lost. If you live in Ukraine and every day they tell you that you must have your emergency backpack ready in case of urgent evacuation, or which part of your land will be seized by Putin, nerves give way very quickly.
People in Ukraine are in despair and try to find a way to escape. Some think about leaving for Europe, while we can enter many European countries without visas. Jewish people think about leaving for their historical motherland, because it is the safest haven they can ever have. At this moment, when olim try hard to leave Ukraine that is being armed to teeth every day with diverse weapon for a real war, your help comes as a gift from the Lord.
We are ever so grateful to all the donors who contribute, who sympathize and care. With your help, we had managed to complete the urgent processing of documents for two families, and they took their flight to Israel on January 30. These were the Mishins and David Knyazhevich with his son. David’s wife passed away, and he, being disabled himself, became obsessed with the idea of moving to Israel and saving his son Daniil, 17. He doesn’t want his son to become one of the small coins in military duels between politicians. In Israel, they will have a future and a hope. Both the families sent us their photos taken right before their departure, in the airport. The others are planning to leave for Israel in February.
