The Abramovs send a huge THANK YOU from the airport in Kiev before their departure to Israel to the donor who made it possible …
The Abramovs started to prepare for repatriation to Israel back in 2020, and everything was well, but a tragedy happened out of the blue.
Here’s what Viktoriya wrote in her social network account:
“I am speaking on behalf of Sergey Abramov to everybody who knows him, who remembers him and who can understand other people’s pain. On October 2 last year he was operated. A brain tumor was removed successfully even though there was hemorrhage into the area where it was located. Unfortunately, the tumor was malignant.
Sergey went through six months of bitter fights: radiation therapy, chemotherapy, and Sergey’s general health was in ruin. All our money was spent on the treatment.
At present, Sergey is disabled. He has no job. His income is about $59 per month.
Late in October this year, after a fit, his condition deteriorated rapidly. Sergey lost memory partially. The areas of his brain that are responsible for speech were affected. Sergey cannot even go out on his own, without anyone to accompany and assist him. This is the way the once vivacious, energetic Sergey is now. He used to love life, movement, travels so much, he used to help others and never asked for help… Everything collapsed in a moment. Now he needs help himself. This is the matter of living or dying.”
Igor Levenshtein, president of the Charity Fund “People Who Care” saw this cry for help and urgently got in touch with Viktoriya and then with our precious friends from Call To Care from UK. They sent money for Sergey via us and he was able to purchase his expensive medications and reach Israel safely. We are so grateful for this support to our dearest friends! Now we can only pray that doctors in Israel will be able to cure Sergey completely and help him return to the way of living he once loved so much.
