At the memorial service of the Baby Yar massacre, the motto was, “Never again!” Igor Levenstein, was at the Baby Yar Memorial Service and said, ”Unfortunately, tragedies have a habit of repeating themselves.”  Suffering and ongoing violence in both Ukraine and Israel make life extremely difficult for olim.  The Ukrainian olim still hope to get to Israel after the war but their needs include basic living support as they wait and obtaining the necessary repatriation documents.  We aim to support as many waiting olim as possible.  Your donations are like gold to those in desperate need.  Thank you!

The number of Olim wishing to leave for Israel has not decreased. Many of them went through bombings, the complete loss of housing and all property, and many lost members of their families: some died in bombings, others died in battles. Here in Ukraine they were left without support and any hope for such support in the future. Therefore, all their hopes are connected only with Israel. They pray for peace and for Israel’s victory and hope it will come soon. However, they now cannot travel to Israel for one simple reason: planes do not fly there and Israel simply cannot accept them now.

That’s why our Olim have only one choice: WAIT AND HOPE! But our Olim in Ukraine now live in very unfavourable conditions: there is no work, their housing is abandoned or destroyed, renting housing in a foreign city is very expensive, and there is simply no means of subsistence. Therefore, your help will be very useful. Your help will give them the opportunity to prepare the necessary documents for repatriation and simply buy food and live until that happy moment when Israel wins and can accept them into its big family.

We are ready to help our Olim while they are on standby and will be ready to help them before they leave for Israel. The Olim will be very grateful for your help, and we will be very grateful to your donors if they are ready to help.

Love and blessings,

Igor and Tatiana
