Among the families that received help from us, there are two families with children. It is important to mention that the children are boys. What kind of future can a boy expect in a country that has been at war for so many years? To become cannon fodder? Is there a possibility of the soonest ceasefire? Opportunities for success are very scarce. The possibility of becoming cannon fodder is much more real.
This January, the President issued a decree in accordance to which boys will be summoned to the army at the age of 17. Many of them will have no time to complete college studying because the country needs an army more than educated men.
Those who will still be at school, will be summoned right after the exams, without a chance of entering a higher education facility. People in Ukraine want peace, they hate to see more victims, more senseless war, but…
The families who received help from us want a better future for their children. They want their children to have a happy life. They want them to grow up in a country that values each citizen. They have such an opportunity! They’re on their way to Israel!
Another reason why we chose these families was the fact that the providers of these families have lost their jobs due to the economic collapse in Ukraine. We hope that their lives will change for the better in Israel, just like the lives of many other people we helped in making Aliyah.
Thank you donors for making this possible!
