The Maksim Family owned their own business, a tiny cafe, and had plans to expand. Due to the corona virus pandemic, the cafe was closed down. The Ukraine government do not compensate in any way. This family had to sell their flat in order to financially survive. The Israeli Embassy has been closed during lockdown and even now, only see a reduced number of people per day, so they have had to wait and had to survive on the meagre money they received from the sale of their flat [$6,000]. They had an appointment with the Embassy on 20 September and once they have all their relevant papers in place, they will be able to make aliyah [if Israel’s border are open!]

The lovely Golovan family are in a very similar position – no work, no prospects and no money! Their only hope is to make aliyah and start a new life in Israel.

THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR MAKING THIS POSSIBLE!
